'The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line' Although I normally limit the focus of this website to only slugging, occasionally there is an opportunity to step outside my own lines. To that end, let me recommend a great book. The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line is a book that explores the untold stories of women who struggled, prevailed and served during WWII. These are the legacies of our grandmothers , the trails they blazed, and the inspiring tales of their struggles. They were spies, codebreakers, resistance fighters, and soldiers. They did it all, when no one expected they could. The book is now available for print preorder on Amazon and other online retailers (BN.com, Bookshop.org). https://www.amazon.com/Girls-Who-Stepped-Out-Line/dp/1728230926.

Others prefer to indicate a flashback in a screenplay by writing BEGIN FLASHBACK before the slugline and END FLASHBACK at the end of the scene. Here’s an example from Going the Distance: If you want to write a full-scene flashback that continues into another scene, you can write FLASHBACK or FLASHBACK SEQUENCE at the start of first scene. COVID-19 Pandemic Slugging Impacts! It is strongly recommended that commuters do NOT slug during the COVID-19 pandemic. The risk of transmission is too great to justify the benefits. We must all work together to help limit the spread of this horrible virus.

Springfield Parking Garage Update! As of January 29th, the Springfield Parking Garage project schedule has to be postponed. Due to some additional time required to modify our construction documents to adhere to federal bidding and construction regulations, the construction date had to be postpone from March/April time frame to August/September/October this year.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation stated: 'We will notify the community the exact construction date in at least two months ahead of lot closure as we had promised them at the Public Information Meeting before Thanksgiving last year. The relocation plan will remain the same, i.e., relocating two slugging lines to Springfield United Methodist Church and the Town Center Garage separately.'[Go to forum]

Bob’s Sluglines Parking Lot tentatively to be closed in MARCH 2020 for garage construction. Slugs will lose about 278 spaces and slug pickup stations during construction for about 2 years. Location: Just west of I-95 near the intersection of Old Keene Mill Road and Bland Street in Springfield, VA near the Springfield Town Center (aka Springfield Mall). The line itself in the morning moved next to Sunoco Gas station across Kmart parking lot. For DC slugger cars enter from Keene Mill Road and go around the loop.

Description: This location has undergone the test of time. Although the construction of the 'Mixing Bowl' disrupted this line for a short time, it is currently in full operation. Because of some of the changes there are a few names to describe this location (Bob's, Springfield Plaza, Long John Silvers, Chi Chi's). All names are actually the same slug line. There are two slug lines that operate out of the commuter lot. Line #1: L’Enfant Plaza and 14th street. Line #2: 18th Street locations (sometimes called Memorial Bridge).
