Rigger brush - these have extra long hairs with a fine point. Good for continuous lines because they hold water well. Filbert brush - this is a flat brush with an oval shape. Good for blending because the hairs hold together when wet, but not commonly used for watercolors. A rigger brush (bottom) compared to a standard round brush. Rigger: These are similar to round brushes, but have very long hairs. The name is thought to come from the fact they were designed to paint the rigging on sailing ships and they are ideal for drawing long thin lines.

Will masking come off easily?

Will it resist or soak up water?
How quickly can I do another wash?

This is my personal viewpoint on the brush. Do I like to paint on this brush?
How does the brush feel to work on? Bundle for wedding. Does it respond well to the brush or seem to resist it? Can I work quickly and easily or do I have to keep in mind the brush's quirks asI go?
Brush feel is difficult to quantify but very important to the artist. Sometimes I work with difficult brushes just because I love how they respond to the paint and the overall affect.
Individual artists will have as many different opinions as painting styles!
